i just wanted to let you all know that i am in the process of a new blog!! woohoo!!

I'VE BEEN READING ALOT OF BLOGS OF OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS THAT I JUST DREAM TO BE LIKE ONE DAY..AND ALOT ARE POSTING ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL LIVES. HMMM.. THAT'LL BE A CHALLENGE FOR ME BECAUSE I THINK THAT EVERY BLOG POST NEEDS A PICTURE, AND I DONT LIKE PICTURES OF MYSELF!! HAHA

HERE ARE SOME RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME:

1. i was adopted when i was a baby. truely am grateful for this!!

2. my favorite color is PINK...why??? i have no clue

3. i love leopard, zebra, cheatah print...i dont care if it goes out of style

4. i played the electric guitar in the 4th grade talent show...i played "Jesus loves me" i rocked it!

5. i secretly want to me a famous singer, however...i cant carry a tune

6. my dad is my hero. he is my rock

7. my husband is my world. he is so amazing to me

8. i am a proud aunt to a cute little nephew, isaiah and a sweet niece Sarah Grace.

9. i have 2 older brothers...one is a car salesmen, one is a lawyer...i'm a photographer. hmmm..my mom sure has different personalities in all of us!!

10. i have TWO best friends. Allison and Ashley. love them two...ashley is actually my sister in law, too! hehe

I first heard THIS idea from my SISTER IN LAW EVAN. I thought...hmmm...dean will be home for valentines day, why not!? well, after 5 hours in the kitchen, my hands turning red, and my dog being on a sugar high from licking the floor....SUCCESS!!

they were so good!! and RICH! it's almost to where one cupcake is enough to satisfy you! Dean took them to work with him and they were gone in a day! (love that)

ok - so this year was going to be attempt #2 for Project 365....i honestly dont think I'm going to have time to!! I am in the middle of editing a wedding...have to go to vegas....wedding plans for TWO weddings i'm in this May....have to go to Arizona in a couple weeks....i'm just on overload!!

So, instead - i'll just take pictures throughout the year and watch my work grow. At the end of the year, I'll put together my top 50 or top 5 of each month or something - and see the difference.

GOOD NEWS ~ I'm getting a new lens!!! It's a Macro/Wide Angle. I borrowed one from a close friend for the wedding I did recently - and she sent me an email yesterday saying that she is GIVING it to me!! I almost stopped breathing when I read it! lol

My fellow photog buddy Kaci and I are planning on going to WPPI this March in vegas!!! She's such an awesome photographer and designer - she designed my logo!! We are hoping that it'll work out right because we both REALLYYYYY want to go!!! We are probably going to look rediculous silly and lost...but - it's in VEGAS and PHOTOGRAPHY...doesnt get better than that!

Anywho...that's life recently in a nutshell! Stay tuned for the favorites from the wedding I did. Should be next week or the next!!

Ok, so this is my awesome big brother and my soon to be sister in law!!! i am so blessed with two sweet sister in laws right now...CANT WAIT to have Melissa as one too!!

I was in Texas for a wedding (west texas, actually) and they had me fly to San Antonio to take their pictures for their engagements!! Their SAVE THE DATE is my favorite...but I cant post it yet!! Stay tuned!

Ok, apparently I forgot to post this session!! I took this one in Texas over Thanksgiving as well!! this is my sister in law, Ashley (the cute blonde)'s family. Her mom just got married and wanted me to take pictures of all her kids (minus Laura, who didnt want to have her pic taken...lol) and her grandkids. And the new hubby of hers, of course.

What a better location to capture little ones...than a colorful park!!! They had so much fun and were so easy to capture.

Justin (the oldest and in the Air Force) and I were in band together and basically grew up together. He is one of the coolest kids I know. The youngest was 4 when I saw him last!!! We used to hold him in our laps at football games!!! cRaZy!!!!

Mark and Michele are my in-laws. i have never seen actual pictures of them done...EVER!! So, I got to do them for Michele!! I had to wake up at 6am and work in the oil field and suffer (since mark was going to suffer taking pictures) but it was worth it!!

Ok, so I wanted to go to bed early tonight...but since I wont TRA1 from Lauren Clark's contest, I cant stop playing around with all these awesome actions!!

I see photographers who have "before and after" posts...like every Wednesday or Friday, in my case. They do it, not only to inspire other photographers...but to what themselves grow and learn editing skills.

this is my sister in law Ashley. We are BEST FRIENDS :o)

we married brothers 5 weeks apart...and started dating them 5 years ago (2 days apart) I'm pretty sure there will be more that we will do together in the future ;o)

i love taking pictures of her. she's so pretty and so much fun!! I took her out to the runway at the airport and shot a couple photos of her with a perdy sunflower :o)

ok...so my brother and sister-in-law came to Utah to visit Dean and I while they were in Vegas.

Michael is a Mercedes dealer in Lubbock, TX and he LOVES them. I found this old Mercedes car that I took Alexis to for her Seniors and I thought it was perfect for Michael and Evan!!

Morgan + Mike = Couple Session

I offer 'couple sessions'. It's for couples who are dating or married or whatever you are! :o) It's so much fun to do young couples...they are way cute and still have the 'nervous jitters'

So on that note....here are some pics of Morgan and Mike on their Couple Session. We did their two Senior Sessions and then a Couples all in one day!! I also had them do a "prom shoot" to help advertise for my other company Vandaceous Studios. It was such a great time and the weather was PERFECT!

I also am using bigger pictures...I just dont think the smaller ones do the justice. Whatcha think?

Welcome to my blog!! I'm not sure where this will go, but I hope to have "followers" soon:o)

First, I thought I should post photos of my puppy Peanut!! He'll be a year next month and such a mama's boy. We adopted him from the SPCA in Texas when he was 10 weeks old.

We almost lost him once when he got hit by a truck. And thank goodness he's ok!!

Plus, he's a great model! hehe
